  A young man who works offshore in the Petroleum industry and an acquaintance said he needed prayers  to bring in $56 million dollars in to Nigeria , he said it was proceed of an oil deal in the middle east . I told him to go to the central bank if his transactions were legitimate. Two years later I saw him looking very ill and skinny , I asked what happened and he said he had been in prison  for money laundering and the money was confiscated and he also lost his cars and other  landed  property as well . 

  Some of the evil effects of money laundering include: 

2. INCREASED CRIME

Effect: It fuels organized crime by allowing illegal gains to be concealed and reinvested.

Verse: “The wicked earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness will have a true reward.” – Proverbs 11:18 (AMP)

Insight: Ill-gotten gains perpetuate wickedness and violence, affecting the moral health of a nation.

3. EROSION OF RULE OF LAW

Effect: Corruption and bribery often accompany money laundering, weakening judicial and law enforcement institutions.

Verse: “You shall not pervert justice... You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise.” – Deuteronomy 16:19 (AMP)

Insight: Bribery undermines justice, leading to lawlessness and national moral decay.

4. LOSS OF GOVERNMENT REVENUE

Effect: Laundered money evades taxes, reducing funds for public services.

Verse: “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” – Matthew 22:21 (AMP)

Insight: Evading lawful taxes disrespects governance and hinders national development.

  In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and strength to resist greed .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome greed .
