The curse of stagnation and poverty is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good-Life Devotional: YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS MONEY AND THE MANIFESTATION OF THE POWER OF GOD
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
In Luke 16:11, Jesus asked, “If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?” The Greek word for “true” here is alēthinos, meaning “genuine, real, that which has the quality of truth.” According to John 17:17, “Thy word is truth,” and John 1:2 declares that Jesus Christ is the Word. Further, 1 Corinthians 1:24 tells us Christ is the power of God. Thus, to be truthful is to be full of the consciousness of Jesus Christ’s power dwelling within.
The wrong attitude toward money manifests in two dangerous ways. First, when money becomes one’s security instead of God (cf. 1 Timothy 6:17). Second, when people believe that God’s anointing can be bought—akin to the heresy of Simon in Acts 8:18-24. Those with this attitude often struggle to manifest the Holy Spirit’s gifts and are plagued by bitterness, becoming a stumbling block to the gospel.
In contrast, the Macedonian church, though in deep poverty, gave joyfully and abundantly (2 Corinthians 8:1-4). They understood that giving is a conduit for the manifestation of God’s power. Hence, believers are exhorted to support the gospel with regular offerings (1 Corinthians 16:1-2), to share with their teachers (Galatians 6:6), and to give cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).
The heart that gives from faith, not compulsion, invites the overflow of God’s presence, power, and provision.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and a generous spirit .
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the power to get wealth .
