MONEY, FAITH, AND MARRIAGE: A SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE

The anointing of God's favour is healing your broken relationships and restoring all that was lost .

Good -Life Devotional:  MONEY, FAITH, AND MARRIAGE: A SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Deuteronomy 14:23

" And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; THAT THOU MAYEST LEARN TO FEAR THE LORD THY GOD ALWAYS.'

 John 13:34

" A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. '

From to the above scripture the essence of giving is that we may break the yoke of selfishness and work in love for God and man.

Research has shown that Christians who struggle with giving the new testament tithes mentioned in 1Corinthians 16;1-2, and Galatians 6:6 tend to have family crisis resulting in emotional separations . Many marriages are deviod of love because of this .

Money, faith, and marriage are deeply interconnected, as they reveal the condition of our hearts. A person who struggles to give money to God’s work often finds it difficult to express genuine, selfless love for their spouse. True love and generosity stem from a heart transformed by the fear of God, which eliminates selfishness and fosters unity in marriage.

The fear of God, foundational to a thriving marriage, is cultivated through obedience to His commands, including giving. In the Old Testament, God instituted tithing to teach His people the fear of the Lord (Deuteronomy 14:22-23). Similarly, in the New Testament, the Macedonian church exemplified sacrificial giving, even in poverty, as an expression of their love for God and others (2 Corinthians 8:1-5). The Philippian church generously supported Paul’s ministry, demonstrating their faith in God’s provision (Philippians 4:16-19). Paul also instructed churches to set aside a portion of their income for God’s work (1 Corinthians 16:1-2).

Proverbs 3:9-10 reminds us to honor the Lord with our wealth, promising His blessing in return. When we learn to give freely to God, our hearts grow in love and humility, enabling us to love our spouses unconditionally. A marriage rooted in the fear of God will always bear the fruit of selflessness, generosity, and enduring love.

PRAYER; Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome heartbreak.

AN ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY IS A MAJOR DESTROYER OF MARRIAGES: AVOID IT

Your family shall continue to enjoy abundance regardless of the economy because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: AN ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY IS A MAJOR DESTROYER OF MARRIAGES: AVOID IT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

An entitlement mentality in marriage can subtly erode the foundation of love and unity that God designed for this sacred union. This attitude arises when one spouse believes they are owed certain privileges or treatment without reciprocating. It can manifest as selfishness, demanding unrealistic expectations, or a lack of gratitude for the other’s efforts.

1 Corinthians 12:14-27 reminds us of the interconnectedness of the body of Christ, emphasizing that every part is valuable and essential. Similarly, in marriage, both partners are vital and must honor each other's unique roles and contributions. Verse 25 states, "so that there may be no division in the body, but that the parts may have the same care for one another" (AMP). This care requires humility and a servant-hearted approach, not entitlement.

Ephesians 5:21 further encourages spouses to “submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.” Submission here is mutual respect and selflessness, seeking the best for the other without keeping score. An entitlement mentality disrupts this balance, breeding resentment and dissatisfaction.

Jesus exemplified servanthood in John 13:14-15 when He washed His disciples' feet, teaching us to serve rather than demand service. Following His example in marriage means choosing sacrifice over self-centeredness.

To avoid entitlement, couples must cultivate gratitude (1 Thessalonians 5:18), practice forgiveness (Colossians 3:13), and prioritize their spouse’s needs above their own (Philippians 2:3-4). By embracing humility and mutual respect, couples can safeguard their marriage against the destructive effects of entitlement and build a relationship that glorifies God.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and humility to serve in God's family.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to heal broken families.

HOW CAN JESUS CHRIST BE GOD AND BE THE SON OF MAN ?

Receive power to destroy evil addictions now because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: HOW CAN JESUS CHRIST BE GOD AND BE THE SON OF MAN ?

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

.SON OF MAN

The title "Son of Man" is one of the most distinctive ways Jesus refers to Himself in the New Testament. The phrase carries deep theological significance and appears in various contexts throughout the Bible, particularly in the Gospels.

OLD TESTAMENT BACKGROUND:

The term "Son of Man" has roots in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). One of the key references is in Daniel 7:13-14, where Daniel describes a vision of "one like a son of man" coming with the clouds of heaven and being given authority, glory, and sovereign power by God. This figure is a messianic figure with divine authority, and this prophecy becomes a backdrop for understanding Jesus' use of the title.

IN THE GOSPELS:

Jesus frequently refers to Himself as the "Son of Man" in various settings, and this term has multiple layers of meaning.

1. HUMANITY: "Son of Man" emphasizes Jesus' full humanity. In Aramaic (the language Jesus spoke), "son of man" can simply mean a human being. By using this term, Jesus identifies Himself with humanity, stressing His experience as a fully human person who suffers, feels pain, and lives within human limitations.

2. MESSIANIC IDENTITY: Jesus' use of "Son of Man" echoes the messianic figure in Daniel 7. When Jesus refers to Himself in this way, He subtly points to His role as the awaited Messiah who will have authority and dominion, though this is often veiled until later in His ministry. In passages like Matthew 24:30 and Mark 14:62, Jesus connects Himself to the divine figure in Daniel, highlighting His ultimate return in glory and judgment.

3. SUFFERING AND SACRIFICE: Jesus frequently links the title "Son of Man" with His suffering, death, and resurrection. In Mark 8:31, Jesus says that the Son of Man must suffer, be rejected, killed, and rise again. This shows how Jesus redefines messianic expectations—not as a conquering ruler but as a suffering servant who will redeem humanity through His sacrificial death.

4. ESCHATOLOGICAL ROLE: Jesus also uses the title to refer to His future role in judgment and the consummation of God's kingdom. For instance, in Matthew 25:31, Jesus describes the Son of Man coming in His glory to judge the nations. This aligns with the image in Daniel of the Son of Man receiving eternal authority and establishes Jesus' ultimate role as judge and king in the end times.

THEOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

Humanity And Divinity: The title "Son of Man" uniquely holds together both Jesus' humanity and His divinity. While emphasizing His human nature, it also points to His exalted role in God's redemptive plan.

MESSIAH AND SUFFERING Servant: By calling Himself the Son of Man, Jesus redefines common Jewish expectations of the Messiah as a political deliverer. Instead, He reveals Himself as the suffering servant who will bring salvation through humility, sacrifice, and eventual glory.

FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY: Jesus' use of the title connects His life and mission to Old Testament prophecies, especially Daniel’s vision, demonstrating that He fulfills God’s promises of a Messiah who would establish an everlasting kingdom.

"Son of Man" is a multifaceted title that reveals Jesus as both fully human and fully divine, the suffering servant, and the exalted Messiah who will bring God's kingdom to fulfillment.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and revelation of his divine nature .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to defend the gospel.

WHY JESUS CHRIST, GOD, HAD TO COME IN HUMAN FORM TO SAVE HUMANITY

You are marked for an extraordinary promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional; WHY JESUS CHRIST, GOD, HAD TO COME IN HUMAN FORM TO SAVE HUMANITY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The necessity of Jesus Christ coming in human form to save humanity is central to the Christian faith. The Bible offers numerous reasons why God chose to take on flesh, which are grounded in His justice, love, and plan of redemption. Below is an apologetic argument with key Bible verses to explain this profound truth.

1. GOD'S JUSTICE REQUIRES A PERFECT SUBSTITUTE

Humanity sinned, and the penalty for sin is death (Romans 6:23). Since God is perfectly just, sin had to be punished.

Only a human could stand in place of humanity, but no mere human was sinless. Jesus, being fully God and fully man, was the only one capable of fulfilling this role.

The Bible says  “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God [that is, His remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers] is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, AMP)

“He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21, AMP

2. GOD’S PROMISE OF A MEDIATOR

Humanity needed someone who could mediate between a holy God and sinful people. Jesus, as God in human form, became that mediator.

The Bible says  “For there is [only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom [a substitutionary sacrifice] for all, the testimony given at the right and proper time.” (1 Timothy 2:5-6, AMP)

3. THE NECESSITY OF THE INCARNATION

Jesus’ incarnation fulfilled God’s promise of salvation. The Word becoming flesh allowed Him to live as a human, experience human weakness, and become the perfect sacrifice for sin.

The Bible says : “And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind,] who is full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14, AMP)

4. ONLY A SINLESS SACRIFICE COULD ATONE FOR SIN

Animal sacrifices under the Old Testament were insufficient to take away sin permanently. Jesus’ perfect life qualified Him to be the ultimate sacrifice.

The Bible says   “For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. … we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Hebrews 10:4, 10, AMP)

5. TO DEFEAT DEATH AND RESTORE LIFE

Sin brought death into the world, and only Jesus could defeat death by rising again. His resurrection secured eternal life for believers.

The Bible says

“Since [therefore these His] children share in flesh and blood [the physical nature of mankind], He Himself [in a similar manner] also shared in the same [physical nature, but without sin], so that through [experiencing] death He might make powerless (ineffective, impotent) him who had the power of death—that is, the devil.” (Hebrews 2:14, AMP)

6. GOD’S LOVE COMPELLED HIM TO COME

The ultimate reason for the incarnation is God’s love for humanity. He desired to save us and restore us to a relationship with Him.

The Bible says   “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, AMP)

In summary, Jesus Christ had to come in human form because only He could meet the divine requirements for justice and mercy. His incarnation, death, and resurrection accomplished what humanity could not achieve on its own—reconciliation with God. By becoming fully human while remaining fully God, Jesus bridged the gap between a holy God and sinful humanity, offering salvation to all who believe in Him.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome evil manipulations.

WHY JESUS CHRIST WAS SENT BY GOD TO HUMANITY ON CHRISTMAS DAY

Unexpected financial help shall locate you because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: WHY JESUS CHRIST WAS SENT BY GOD TO HUMANITY ON CHRISTMAS DAY

 By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The key element of Christmas day is the Incanation of the word of God in a manner that man could relate to . It is hypostatic union of humanity and divinity where Jesus Christ is 100% man and 100% God .

Jesus Christ’s mission to humanity is the ultimate demonstration of God’s love, grace, and redemption plan. The Bible reveals that Jesus was sent to reconcile humanity to God, providing salvation, eternal life, and a pathway to restored fellowship with the Creator.

First, Jesus was sent to save humanity from sin. Sin separated mankind from God, but Jesus came to bridge that gap. John 3:16 states, “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His One and only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life” (AMP). This act of sacrificial love underscores God’s desire to redeem His creation.

Second, Jesus came to reveal God’s character and will. Colossians 1:15 describes Jesus as “the exact living image [the essential manifestation] of the unseen God.” Through His teachings, miracles, and compassion, Jesus embodied God’s holiness and love, providing a perfect example for humanity to follow.

Additionally, Jesus was sent to defeat the power of sin and death. His death on the cross and resurrection fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah 53:5, which states, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness...the punishment for our well-being fell on Him, and by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.”

In conclusion, Jesus Christ’s mission was to restore what was lost through sin and bring humanity back into relationship with God. Through Him, we have access to forgiveness, hope, and eternal life.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the revelation and manifestation of his divine nature in us.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live in righteousness.

RELIGION DOES NOT GUARANTEE SALVATION

The yoke of guilt and condemnation is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

RELIGION DOES NOT GUARANTEE SALVATION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Salvation is not earned through religious practices but is a gift of God’s grace to those who trust in Him. This truth is demonstrated in Luke 18:10–14, where Jesus tells the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector. The Pharisee prided himself on his religious acts, saying, “I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all I possess.” In contrast, the tax collector humbly confessed, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner!” Jesus declared that the tax collector, not the Pharisee, went home justified before God. This shows that salvation comes from a repentant heart, not religious rituals.

Abraham, the father of faith, was declared righteous because of his faith, not his religious works. Genesis 15:6 states, “Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness.” Romans 4:2–3 reaffirms this, emphasizing that righteousness is credited by faith, not by works. Abraham had no formal religion, yet he was justified by trusting in God.

Similarly, the thief on the cross provides a powerful example. In Luke 23:42–43, the thief acknowledged Jesus as Lord and pleaded, “Remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” Jesus assured him, “Today you will be with Me in Paradise.” This man received salvation without performing any religious act.

Ephesians 2:8–9 confirms, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Religion cannot save; only faith in Christ does. Trust in God’s grace, not human effort, for salvation.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and humility to make him known to the unsaved

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel of your grace.

HOW TO OVERCOME SELFISHNESS IN MARRIAGE (Part 1)

Your family shall be far from disaster because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: HOW TO OVERCOME SELFISHNESS IN MARRIAGE (Part 1)

 By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Selfishness is the primary reason behind marital crisis .

It is the nature of satan and having a personal one -of- a -kind relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the beginning of building a strong marriage or relationship.

Selfishness is a barrier to intimacy and growth in marriage. Overcoming it requires intentionality and a biblical mindset. Here are eight ways to cultivate selflessness in your marriage:

1. PRAY FOR HUMILITY

Prayer invites God to transform your heart. Philippians 2:3 says, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” Ask God to help you prioritize your spouse’s needs.

2. PRACTICE SERVANTHOOD

Jesus modeled servanthood by washing His disciples' feet (John 13:14-15). Serve your spouse with joy, whether through small gestures or significant sacrifices.

3. COMMUNICATE WITH EMPATHY

James 1:19 advises, “Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” Listen to your spouse’s concerns without judgment, and respond with understanding.

4. FORGIVE FREELY

Selfishness often stems from holding onto past hurts. Colossians 3:13 encourages us to forgive as the Lord forgave us. Let go of grudges to create space for love and unity

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and manifestations of the fruits of righteousness in our homes.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome selfishness.

AVOID THESE SELFISH THINGS MARRIED PEOPLE SO THAT DESTROYS MARRIAGES (PART 2)

The plans of the enemy against your family shall fail because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: AVOID THESE SELFISH THINGS MARRIED PEOPLE SO THAT DESTROYS MARRIAGES (PART 2)

 6. LACK OF GRATITUDE

They rarely express appreciation for what you do for them. They do not give or  respond to compliments .

The Bible says : "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

7. WITHHOLDING AFFECTION

They withhold love or intimacy as a form of manipulation.

The Bible says : "Let the husband fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband." (1 Corinthians 7:3)

8. GREED OR MATERIALISM

They prioritize money or possessions over the relationship. They do not obey the new testament tithing in 1 Corinthians 16:1-2 and Galatians 6;6 because of love for money over God.

The Bible says  "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have." (Hebrews 13:5)

9. REFUSING TO APOLOGIZE

They rarely, if ever, admit their mistakes or say sorry.

The Bible says "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

10. DISREGARD FOR SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP

They neglect leading or supporting you spiritually in the marriage. They have a poor appetite for God's word and lazy in prayers and are disrespectful to their pastor .

The Bible says : "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy." (Ephesians 5:25-26)

A selfish spouse can create challenges in a marriage, but God’s Word reminds us that love, humility, and forgiveness are essential for a healthy relationship. Seek wisdom and prayer for guidance in addressing these behaviors.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and manifestations of the fruits of His Spirit in us.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to love unconditionally.

AVOID THESE SELFISH THINGS MARRIED PEOPLE DO THAT DESTROYS MARRIAGES ( PART 1)

Your family shall not fall apart but wax stronger in love and overflowing peace .

Good -Life Devotional:

AVOID THESE SELFISH THINGS MARRIED PEOPLE DO THAT DESTROYS MARRIAGES ( PART 1)

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Selfishness is the quality or practice of prioritizing one’s own interests, desires, or well-being above those of others, often without regard for the needs or feelings of others. It involves excessive self-focus and a lack of consideration for the impact of one’s actions on others. Biblically, selfishness is viewed as contrary to the principle of love and selflessness, which calls for putting others' needs before one’s own (Philippians 2:3-4).

Here are ten signs of a selfish spouse along with corresponding Bible verses:

1. PRIORITIZING THEIR NEEDS OVER YOURS

A selfish spouse constantly prioritizes their desires, neglecting the needs of their partner.

The bible says : "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves." (Philippians 2:3)

2. LACK OF COMPASSION

They show little to no empathy for your struggles or emotions.

The Bible says  "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32)

3. UNWILLINGNESS TO SACRIFICE

They refuse to make sacrifices for the benefit of the marriage or family.

The Bible says : "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." (John 15:13)

4. CONSTANT CRITICISM

They are quick to point out your flaws but resist examining their own.

The Bible says : "Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?" (Matthew 7:3)

5. CONTROLLING BEHAVIOR

They seek to dominate decisions without considering your input.

The Bible says : "Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful." (1 Corinthians 13:5)

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and to be filled with the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Pray for married couples for divine wisdom for a healthy and sustainable marriages .

A CORRUPT CHRISTIAN ; MESSENGER OF SATAN

The anointing of God's favour upon you is removing the hindrances to your promotion now

Good -Life Devotional:

A CORRUPT CHRISTIAN ; MESSENGER OF SATAN

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Corruption among Christians is a grave offense, aligning such individuals with the works of Satan rather than God. Acts 5:3 reveals how Satan filled Ananias’ heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, showing that even believers can be tools of evil when they yield to sin. Jesus identified Satan as “a liar and the father of lies” in John 8:44, emphasizing that deceit and corruption are his trademarks. Furthermore, John 10:10 exposes Satan’s mission: to steal, kill, and destroy—actions mirrored in the harm caused by corrupt Christians.

Corrupt Christians in government and civil service hinder progress and derail policies meant to benefit society. Proverbs 29:2 states, “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Their dishonesty undermines trust, enabling systemic failure and perpetuating poverty and injustice. Instead, God desires workers who reflect His righteousness and glorify Him through integrity and good deeds (Matthew 5:16).

Christians are called to resist corruption and embody God’s principles. Ephesians 6:11 urges believers to “put on the full armor of God” to stand against the devil’s schemes. By living righteously, Christians can become instruments of God’s kingdom, transforming workplaces and communities for His glory.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and for righteous governance in our places of work and country .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

THE SCRIPTURES: A PATH TO WISDOM AND TRUE PROSPERITY

The curse of poverty and stagnation is broken because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

THE SCRIPTURES: A PATH TO WISDOM AND TRUE PROSPERITY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Bible declares its unique power to impart wisdom and guide believers toward a righteous and prosperous life. In 2 Timothy 3:15, Paul reminds Timothy that "from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus" (AMP). The Word of God is not just a collection of historical accounts but a divine manual for navigating life with understanding, discernment, and eternal perspective.

Similarly, Joshua 1:8 emphasizes the transformative power of meditating on the Word: "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read and meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful" (AMP). This verse links obedience to God’s Word with true prosperity—one that encompasses spiritual, emotional, and material blessings.

The Scriptures reveal that righteousness is the foundation for this prosperity. Psalm 1:2-3 portrays the person who delights in God’s Word as "like a tree firmly planted by streams of water," whose leaves do not wither and who prospers in all they do.

Moreover, Proverbs 4:7 declares, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom.” True wisdom comes from aligning one’s life with God’s principles.

In a world filled with fleeting philosophies, the Bible remains a timeless source of wisdom, guiding believers to live righteous, prosperous  lives rooted in God’s truth.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

GOD'S WISDOM IS NOT CRAFTINESS

You shall not fall into the trap of the crafty because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

GOD'S WISDOM IS NOT CRAFTINESS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

God's wisdom is pure, righteous, and far removed from human craftiness, which is often rooted in manipulation and deceit. Job 5:12 declares, “He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot carry out their plans.” God exposes and thwarts schemes intended to deceive or exploit others, emphasizing that His ways are upright and true.

The gospel of Christ must never be advanced through cunning or deceit. In 2 Corinthians 4:2, Paul admonishes, “But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.” True ministers of the gospel are called to preach with integrity and sincerity, appealing to the conscience of all people and seeking the approval of God rather than using manipulation to gain followers or wealth.

Some, however, attempt to build the church with proceeds gained through corruption or deceit, acting as “false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:13). Such actions are incompatible with the character of God and His call for believers to renounce the corrupt old nature (Colossians 2:8).

Deceitfulness not only damages others but also hardens the heart of the deceiver, leading to sin (Hebrews 3:13). Instead, believers are called to walk in honesty, allowing God's wisdom, not human craftiness, to guide their lives and ministries. In doing so, we honor Christ and reflect His truth.

In our daily prayers we should seek for a healthy appetite for God's word and protection from deceitfulness.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome deception.

THE WISDOM FROM HEAVEN: BEARING THE FRUITS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

The anointing of God's favour will grant you wisdom to solve complicated problems

Good -Life Devotional:

THE WISDOM FROM HEAVEN: BEARING THE FRUITS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

True wisdom is a hallmark of Christian maturity, characterized by purity, peace, and righteousness. James 3:13-18 highlights the contrast between earthly and heavenly wisdom. James challenges believers: “Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good conduct his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom” (v. 13, AMP). Heavenly wisdom is not self-serving but manifests in a life devoted to peace and humility.

Worldly wisdom, on the other hand, is described as “earthly, unspiritual, and demonic” (v. 15). It thrives on envy, strife, and selfish ambition, ultimately leading to disorder and evil practices. A Christian who compromises integrity for personal gain may claim intelligence, but such behavior is incompatible with godly wisdom. Proverbs 10:9 declares, “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.”

In contrast, the wisdom from above is “pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial, and sincere” (James 3:17). Such wisdom aligns with Christ’s teachings, cultivating the fruits of righteousness. As Philippians 1:11 exhorts, we are to be “filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.”

A believer cannot walk in corruption and claim wisdom because true wisdom reflects God’s nature. To embody heavenly wisdom, Christians must pursue integrity, avoid corruption, and remain rooted in God’s Word, becoming peacemakers who sow seeds of righteousness (James 3:18). In doing so, their lives will bear testimony to the transforming power of Christ.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and wisdom to work uprightly in a corrupt world.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and wisdom for excellence.

THE DAY OF RECKONING FOR THE WICKED

You are marked for an extraordinary promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE DAY OF RECKONING FOR THE WICKED

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Psalm 37:13 emphasizes God's sovereignty and justice, declaring that the wicked will face a day of reckoning. This theme resonates throughout the Bible, as God’s judgment against those who oppose Him is a consistent message. Below are other examples that align with this theme:

1) . Proverbs 16:4

"The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked [according to their role] for the day of evil."

This verse underscores that God is in control and that the wicked are not exempt from His judgment.

2) . Ecclesiastes 12:14

"For God will bring every act to judgment, every hidden and secret thing, whether it is good or evil."

Here, the certainty of divine judgment is affirmed, highlighting accountability for all actions.

3.)  Romans 12:19

"Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for God’s wrath [and His judicial righteousness]; for it is written [in Scripture], 'Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,' says the Lord."

This verse calls believers to trust God’s justice, as He will deal with the wicked in His time.

4). Revelation 20:11-15

"Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated upon it... and the dead were judged according to what they had done as written in the books."

This passage describes the final judgment, where the wicked will be judged according to their deeds.

5). 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9

"For after all, it is only just for God to repay with distress those who distress you... These people will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord."

This reinforces God’s promise to bring retribution on those who oppose Him and harm His people.

6.) Acts 5:1-11 (Ananias and Sapphira)

This story reveals immediate judgment for deceit, showing that God’s justice can be swift and decisive even in the New Testament era.

7.) Matthew 25:31-46 (Sheep and Goats Judgment)

Jesus speaks of the final separation of the righteous and the wicked, with the latter receiving eternal punishment.

From Herod in Acts 12 to the final judgment in Revelation, the Bible consistently portrays God’s justice as inevitable. While the wicked may seem to prosper temporarily, their day of reckoning is certain, and this truth calls believers to trust in God’s sovereignty and justice.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for breakthroughs.

THE WICKED SHALL BE CUT OFF:

The stronghold of the enemy over your finances  shall be destroyed because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE WICKED SHALL BE CUT OFF:

Micah 5:9

" Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off."

The phrase "cut off," found throughout Scripture, often signifies a decisive end or removal, implying divine judgment and separation. The Hebrew term for "cut off" is karath (×›ָּרַת), which means to sever, destroy, or eliminate. This imagery underscores the finality of God’s judgment on the wicked, no matter how powerful they may appear.

Psalm 12:3 declares, “May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaks proud things.” This verse demonstrates that the wicked, with their deceitful speech, will face divine intervention. Similarly, Psalm 34:16 affirms, “The face of the LORD is against evildoers, to cut off the memory of them from the earth,” emphasizing the erasure of their influence and legacy.

Psalm 37:9 assures believers, “For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the land.” This verse contrasts the fleeting triumph of the wicked with the enduring inheritance of the righteous. Likewise, Psalm 37:38 warns, “But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked shall be cut off.”

Even offerings made by the wicked are worthless in God’s sight, as Malachi 2:12 states, “The LORD will cut off from the tents of Jacob anyone who does this—who brings an offering to the LORD Almighty.” Their outward religious acts cannot mask inner rebellion.

Ultimately, the power and prosperity of the wicked are temporary, for God’s justice will prevail, cutting them off and upholding the righteous.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and God's judgement against the wicked in the society.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and protection from the destroyer.

LET INTEGRITY AND UPRIGHTNESS PRESERVE ME

The enemy:s plans shall fail because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

LET INTEGRITY AND UPRIGHTNESS PRESERVE ME

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

"Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for You" (Psalm 25:21, AMP). These words from King David reflect his deep dependence on God to safeguard him through righteous living. David’s life serves as a testament to this principle. In 1 Chronicles 18:6-7, God preserved him from his enemies because of his heart's desire to honor the Lord by building a house for Him. David further acknowledged God’s preservation in Psalm 32:7, calling the Lord his hiding place and deliverer.

In contrast, wicked rulers often seek to oppress the righteous, compelling them to compromise their faith through hardship. Psalm 125:3 declares, "For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity" (AMP). Similarly, Psalm 140:4 pleads for deliverance from evil men who plot against the upright. Despite such challenges, God’s preservation is evident throughout Scripture.

In Genesis 26, Isaac thrived in Gerar, a land of famine, because of God’s faithfulness. Like Isaac, the righteous today can trust God’s promise of preservation. The New Testament reinforces this assurance. In 2 Thessalonians 3:3, Paul declares, "But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one." Jesus Himself prayed for His disciples, asking the Father to "keep them from the evil one" (John 17:15).

Let us, therefore, walk in integrity and uprightness, trusting that God will preserve us amidst adversity, just as He preserved David, Isaac, and countless others.

In our daily prayers we should seek for a healthy appetite for God's word and resilience to trust God in adversity.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS SPIRITUAL, NOT MATERIAL

You shall not be stranded because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THE KINGDOM IS SPIRITUAL NOT MATERIAL

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Romans 14:17 says:

"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit." (AMP)

This verse provides a foundation for understanding Christian liberty and priorities in the kingdom of God.

1. THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS SPIRITUAL, NOT MATERIAL

Paul teaches that God's kingdom transcends physical practices like eating and drinking, which were contentious issues in the early church (e.g., dietary laws, meat sacrificed to idols). Instead, it emphasizes the spiritual . Possessing great material wealth is not proof that God approves of a person or ministry .

John 4:23-24: "But a time is coming and is already here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

This supports the idea that God’s kingdom is focused on spiritual truth, not outward rituals. Also the bible says in 1 Corinthians 8:8: "Now food will not bring us closer to God; we are no worse off if we do not eat, nor are we better if we do."

Paul reiterates that dietary matters are inconsequential to one’s relationship with God.

2. RIGHTEOUSNESS IN THE KINGDOM

Righteousness is central to the kingdom. It involves living rightly before God and others, reflecting Christ’s character.

The bible says in Matthew 6:33: "But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also."

This verse highlights prioritizing righteousness over material concerns.

The bible says in Romans 3:22: "This righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ for all those [Jew or Gentile] who believe and trust in Him [and acknowledge Him as God’s Son]."

Righteousness is a gift of faith, underscoring its spiritual nature.

3. PEACE IN THE KINGDOM

Peace in the kingdom is both relational and internal, stemming from reconciliation with God and unity among believers.

The bible says in John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid."

True peace comes from Jesus, not external circumstances. It also says in Ephesians 4:3: "Make every effort to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace [each individual working together to make the whole successful]."

Peace within the community of believers reflects God’s kingdom.

4. JOY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

Joy in the kingdom is a supernatural delight rooted in God’s presence and work in our lives.

Psalm 16:11: "You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore."

God’s presence is the source of ultimate joy.

The bible says in Galatians 5:22-23: "But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control."

Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit, an essential part of the kingdom. God's kingdom prioritizes inner transformation over external practices. This perspective helps counter legalism or disputes over non-essentials (e.g., dietary laws or rituals), focusing instead on what truly matters: living righteously, pursuing peace, and experiencing the Spirit’s joy.

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live in righteousness.

A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD OVER DEAD RELIGIOUS PRACTICES

The anointing of God's favour upon you is opening doors for you in high places.

Good -Life Devotional:

A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD OVER DEAD RELIGIOUS PRACTICES

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Many people mistake religious rituals for a genuine relationship with God, but Scripture reveals that the essence of faith lies in knowing Christ personally. Luke 24:25-31 illustrates this beautifully. The disciples on the road to Emmaus were immersed in their religious discussions about recent events but failed to recognize Jesus walking with them. It was only when He broke bread with them that "their eyes were opened, and they recognized Him" (v. 31). This moment underscores the insufficiency of religious knowledge alone—it is intimacy with Jesus that transforms.

Paul echoes this in Philippians 3:10-11, expressing his desire to "know Christ—yes, to know the power of His resurrection and participation in His sufferings." Paul had experienced the emptiness of religious legalism and counted it as loss compared to the surpassing value of knowing Christ personally. This relationship is not built on external rituals but on a heart that seeks God earnestly.

Colossians 2:18-23 warns against false humility, self-imposed worship, and rigid observances, which "lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence." These practices may appear spiritual but do not lead to true life in Christ. Instead, Jesus calls us to abide in Him (John 15:4-5) and worship in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24).

A living relationship with God transcends religious forms. It opens our eyes to His presence, renews our hearts, and aligns us with His will. True faith transforms; dead religion cannot. Seek to know Him deeply and live out that relationship daily.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.

THANKSGIVING IS THE WILL OF GOD FOR YOU

The anointing of God's favour is removing the obstacles hindering your breakthroughs now.

Good-Life Devotional: THANKSGIVING IS THE WILL OF GOD FOR YOU

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Gratitude is not merely a response to life’s blessings but a command from God. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Paul writes, “In every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus” (AMP). This verse reveals that thanksgiving is not optional; it is central to a life lived in alignment with God’s will.

Thankfulness shifts our perspective. It reminds us of God’s sovereignty and goodness, even in challenging times. As Romans 8:28 assures us, “We know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God” (AMP). Giving thanks strengthens our faith, helping us trust His plan.

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for breakthroughs .

+2348035536911, +2349098536911 email michaelbensonajayi@gmail.com

Moreover, thanksgiving is an act of worship. Psalm 100:4 declares, “Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving and His courts with praise” (AMP). When we thank God, we acknowledge His provision, love, and grace.

In seasons of joy or trial, cultivating gratitude transforms our hearts and glorifies God. As you reflect on your life, choose thanksgiving—it is His will for you, and it brings peace and joy beyond understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).

REJOICE ALWAYS: FINDING JOY IN THE MIDST OF CRISIS

Your tears of sorrow shall be turned into tears of joy because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: REJOICE ALWAYS: FINDING JOY IN THE MIDST OF CRISIS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Bible commands us to "rejoice always," as seen in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (AMP): "Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." This verse reminds us that joy is not contingent upon circumstances but is rooted in our faith and relationship with God.

Rejoicing in difficult times doesn’t mean denying the pain of a crisis. Rather, it acknowledges that God is present and working through every situation. James 1:2-4 (AMP) states, "Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance." Trials are opportunities for spiritual growth, teaching us perseverance and deepening our trust in God.

This perspective transforms our understanding of hardship. Instead of viewing challenges as mere suffering, we see them as occasions to learn and grow. Romans 8:28 (AMP) reassures us, "And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God."

Rejoicing always reflects gratitude for God’s faithfulness. It acknowledges that even in crisis, He is refining us, building our character, and drawing us closer to Him. True joy transcends circumstances, rooted in the assurance that God’s plans are ultimately for our good and His glory.

In our daily prayers we should seek for a healthy appetite for God's word and meekness to see the opportunity to learn wisdom out of adversity.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome depression.

THERE IS A SIN THAT DESERVES DEATH SENTENCE : DO NOT PRAY FOR IT .

Your labour shall not be in vain because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good- Life Devotional:

THERE IS A SIN THAT DESERVES DEATH SENTENCE : DO NOT PRAY FOR IT .

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Luke 23:40-43

[40]But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

[41]And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

[42]And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

[43]And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. "

The prayers of the guilty criminal was answered but he was not delivered from the punishment due him for his heinous crime. He entered paradise by God's grace but had to be used as a moral lesson and deterrent to persons who may want to commit a similar crime .

God's grace is not a license to sin . Sin comes with a corresponding punishment ( including capital punishment) because of God's holiness . This is for the betterment of the society .

1 John 5:16, it says in the Amplified Bible:

"If anyone sees his brother committing a sin that does not lead to death, he will pray and ask [on the believer’s behalf], and God will, for him, give life to those whose sin is not leading to death. There is a sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for this."

This verse raises several theological and apologetic questions. Here's an apologetic breakdown:

1. What is the "sin that leads to death"?

Interpretation 1: Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

Some theologians connect this to Jesus’ warning about the unforgivable sin, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:31-32). This refers to persistent rejection of the Spirit’s work, such as attributing the works of God to Satan.

Persistent rebellion against God’s grace is a willful rejection of the only means of salvation. Without repentance, there is no forgiveness.

Interpretation 2: Physical death due to grave sin such as manslaughter, corruption by a public officer that resulted in the poverty and death of citizens as in Acts 5 )

In this view, the "sin leading to death" refers to sins that result in God's disciplinary judgment, such as Ananias and Sapphira lying to the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:1-11). This does not necessarily mean eternal damnation but could signify physical death as divine correction.

God is just and disciplines believers for the sake of His holiness and their correction (Hebrews 12:6-11).

A corrupt country is like a car without wheels and capital punishment is one of the ways a country makes progress;  an example of this is China and Vietnam that were in abject poverty about thirty five years ago and have become major economic power houses because of their zero tolerance for corruption.

In our daily prayers we should seek for godly leaders with zero tolerance for corruption to lead us through a righteous judiciary.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live in holiness .

STIFFER PENALTIES NEEDED TO STOP CORRUPTION

The anointing of God's favour is restoring all that was stolen from your family.

Good -Life Devotional:

STIFFER PENALTIES NEEDED TO STOP CORRUPTION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Ecclesiastes 8:11

" Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil."

The above scripture highlights Corruption, a moral cancer undermining societies, calling  for swift and severe penalties to curb its spread.

Scripture highlights the devastating consequences of unchecked corruption and the need for immediate judgment to maintain societal integrity.

In Joshua 7:1-24, Achan’s greed led him to take what was devoted to the Lord, bringing defeat upon Israel against the city of Ai, one of their smallest foes. The loss of 36 men and Israel’s humiliation underscored the collective cost of individual corruption. When Achan’s sin was exposed, he and his household faced capital punishment, restoring the fear of God among the Israelites and enabling them to achieve victory thereafter.

Similarly, in Acts 5:1-11, Ananias and Sapphira attempted to deceive the early church by lying about their offering. The Holy Spirit struck them dead immediately, producing reverent fear within the community. The result was remarkable spiritual and economic progress as trust and integrity flourished in the church.

These biblical examples affirm that corruption thrives where accountability is absent. As Ecclesiastes 8:11 warns, “When the sentence against a crime is not quickly executed, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong” (AMP). Today’s leniency toward corruption emboldens wrongdoers, eroding trust and progress.

China and Vietnam are two countries that are making great progress because of their stuff stance against corruption.

Societies must adopt stronger measures, including instant and visible penalties for corruption. This not only deters offenders but also promotes justice, fostering environments where spiritual and economic growth can thrive, much like in biblical times.

In our daily prayers we should seek for good governance that would have zero tolerance for corruption.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to fight corruption.

SEVEN INDICATORS SHOWING YOU LOVE MONEY MORE THAN GOD

You shall not be stagnant in life  because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

SEVEN INDICATORS  SHOWING YOU LOVE MONEY MORE THAN GOD

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

 1 Timothy 6:10

" For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

The love of money opens the doors for satanic attacks against our families and the church . It affects how you relate to God and his church .

Loving money more than God can manifest subtly or overtly. Here are seven signs that may indicate a misaligned focus on wealth over your devotion to God:

1. CONSTANT WORRY ABOUT MONEY

Obsessing over financial security or anxiety about future provisions, despite God's promises to provide (Matthew 6:25-34).

2. PURSUING WEALTH AT THE EXPENSE OF GODLY VALUES

Compromising integrity, neglecting spiritual growth, or justifying unethical behavior to achieve financial gain (Proverbs 28:20; 1 Timothy 6:10).

3. NEGLECTING GENEROSITY AND STEWARDSHIP

Reluctance to give the new testament Abrahamic tithe (1Corinthians 16:1-2) help the needy, or give sacrificially as God commands (Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:7).

4. MEASURING SUCCESS BY MATERIAL POSSESSIONS

Defining your worth, identity, or purpose through wealth rather than your relationship with God (Luke 12:15; Matthew 6:19-21).

5. PRIORITIZING WORK OVER WORSHIP

Prioritizing making money over spending time in prayer, worship, or fellowship with other believers (Exodus 20:8-10; Matthew 6:33).

6. ENVYING OTHERS' WEALTH

Feeling discontent or jealous of others' financial blessings instead of being grateful for your own (Exodus 20:17; Philippians 4:11-12).

7. OVERWHELMING FEAR OF LOSING MONEY

Placing your trust in riches for security, rather than trusting God's provision and sovereignty (Proverbs 11:28; Hebrews 13:5-6).

     The bible says in

Matthew 6:24 (AMP):

"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand devotedly by the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord]."

Aligning your heart with God’s kingdom ensures money is used as a tool for His glory, not as a master over your life.

In our daily prayers we should seek for a healthy appetite for God's word and separation from bad influence.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

THE NEED TO ESCALATE: EXPOSING CORRUPTION THAT THRIVES IN SECRECY

You shall not be disgraced because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

THE NEED TO ESCALATE: EXPOSING CORRUPTION THAT THRIVES IN SECRECY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Corruption flourishes in the shadows, where accountability is absent. As believers, we are called to confront wrongdoing, not passively accept it. Scripture provides numerous examples of individuals who escalated issues to address corruption and injustice.

In Nehemiah 5:1–4, the Jewish people cry out against their leaders who exploited them with exorbitant taxes and forced labor. Nehemiah, upon hearing their plight, openly rebukes the leaders and demands reform. Similarly, in Acts 6:1–3, the early church faced complaints about the unfair distribution of food. The apostles acted decisively, appointing deacons to ensure equity and transparency, demonstrating the need to address systemic issues openly.

Paul also escalated issues when necessary. In Galatians 2:12–14, he publicly confronted Peter for his hypocrisy in withdrawing from Gentiles under pressure from Jewish leaders, showing that even respected leaders must be held accountable.

Is there something no properly being done as a result of corruption in your community? God commands  Christians to expose it . Keeping silence gives the enemy the advantage . Use your social media handle to talk about , don't be intimidated by fear. God is on your side and will fight for the righteous , he promises in Psalms 34:21 "Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate."

Romans 6:1–2 reminds us that we must not tolerate sin, either in ourselves or in our communities. To do so perpetuates moral decay. As Ephesians 5:11 says, “Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness but instead expose them.”

Escalation is not about conflict but restoration. By shedding light on hidden wrongs, we uphold justice and integrity, honoring God’s call to righteousness.

In our daily prayers we should seek a church with zero tolerance for corruption and boldness to fight it .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION MUST BEGIN WITH PREACHERS

Your family shall be far from the destroyer because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good-Life Devotional:

THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION MUST BEGIN WITH PREACHERS

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

1 Corinthians 5:11-13

[11]But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

[12]For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

[13]But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person."

The bible in the aforementioned verses commands that we stay away from any preacher who is guilty of corrupt practices failure to do so will give Satan the advantage over us .

Corruption is a moral and spiritual plague that undermines societies, cripples economies, and breeds injustice. To combat this pervasive evil, the Church must rise as a beacon of righteousness, starting with preachers who are called to be guardians of truth and integrity. The Bible offers timeless principles that expose corruption and inspire righteousness, providing a foundation for societal transformation.

Preachers are tasked with embodying and teaching God’s standard for justice and integrity. Proverbs 29:2 declares, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Corruption thrives where spiritual leaders fail to challenge injustice and model godly character. Preachers must boldly rebuke sin and call leaders and followers alike to repentance (Isaiah 1:17, Micah 6:8).

The Apostle Paul exhorts believers to "abstain from all appearances of evil" (1 Thessalonians 5:22, AMP) and to "provide things honest in the sight of all men" (Romans 12:17). By teaching these values, preachers can nurture communities that reject corruption and uphold integrity.

The fight against corruption must begin in the pulpit, where God's Word inspires accountability and transformation. When preachers lead with integrity, they empower others to live righteously, creating a ripple effect that can cleanse even the most corrupt societies.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and for the deliverance of the church from corrupt preachers .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to live in righteousness.

Good-Life Devotional: THE CHURCH'S REFUSAL TO FIGHT CORRUPTION: A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Ezekiel 14:13,21

[13]Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

21 For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast? "

The church's refusal to confront corruption has profound spiritual and societal implications, as highlighted in Ezekiel 14:14–23. Here, God warns that even the righteousness of individuals like Noah, Daniel, and Job cannot save a corrupt nation; their righteousness would only save themselves. This passage underscores the communal responsibility to uphold godly standards. When the church fails to act against corruption, it risks God's judgment, as collective iniquity brings consequences to both the guilty and the complacent. There are Christians severely suffering in corrupt war-torn countries . Corruption kills therefore , it should be fought against with all our might .

In the New Testament, the call for moral accountability is clear. James 4:17 states, "So any person who knows what is right to do but does not do it, to him it is sin" (AMP). This implicates the church in passive complicity when it chooses silence over action. Furthermore, Matthew 5:13 warns that if salt loses its saltiness, it is worthless, symbolizing the church’s role in preserving societal integrity.

Corruption flourishes when the church neglects its prophetic mandate to speak truth to power. Romans 12:2 exhorts believers to resist conforming to worldly patterns, which includes the normalization of corruption. By failing to challenge injustice, the church loses credibility and hinders its witness, ultimately allowing moral decay to permeate society unchecked.

In our daily prayers we should seek for a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal to fight corruption wherever it is found .

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the enemy.

PRAYING AGAINST CORRUPTION IN SOCIETY: A BIBLICAL MANDATE

You shall make great progress regardless of the state of the economy because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

PRAYING AGAINST CORRUPTION IN SOCIETY: A BIBLICAL MANDATE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The Bible emphasizes the responsibility of Christians to confront corruption through prayer and righteous living. God’s justice and holiness are uncompromising, and Scripture repeatedly highlights His power to expose and thwart the plans of the corrupt. Isaiah 44:25 declares that God “frustrates the signs of the liars and makes fools of diviners; who turns wise men backward and makes their knowledge foolish.” Similarly, Job 5:12 affirms, “He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands achieve no success.” These verses reveal that God actively intervenes to dismantle wicked schemes.

Christians must also pray against false preachers and fraudulent leaders who exploit others under the guise of righteousness. Jesus condemned such hypocrisy, stating, “You are of your father, the devil” (John 15:34, paraphrased). Psalm 35:1-8, 26 calls believers to invoke God’s justice, praying that the wicked face the consequences of their deceit.

In the New Testament, the church demonstrated zero tolerance for corruption. Ananias and Sapphira, guilty of lying to the Holy Spirit, faced immediate judgment, resulting in great fear and reverence among believers (Acts 5:1-10). This fear of God led to the church’s growth in holiness and numbers.

Fighting corruption through prayer and action invites the manifestation of God’s power and instills the fear of the Lord in society. As Christians stand against injustice and intercede for righteousness, the church flourishes, and God’s glory is revealed (Acts 5:11-14)

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to promote a righteous culture .

SOWING TO THE FLESH BRINGS CORRUPTION

You shall not be a victim of a fraudulent scheme because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

SOWING TO THE FLESH BRINGS CORRUPTION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

When the preaching is targeted towards pleasing the flesh always while neglecting spiritual growth corruption becomes inevitable resulting in poverty , marital failure and the failure of the family system .

The Bible consistently warns against sowing to the flesh, emphasizing its destructive consequences. In Galatians 6:7-8, Paul writes, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life” (AMP). To sow to the flesh means to indulge sinful desires, seeking immediate gratification over eternal rewards.

This principle is vividly illustrated in Numbers 11:4-6. The Israelites craved meat, rejecting God’s provision of manna. Their fleshly desires led to divine judgment, demonstrating that such pursuits bring corruption and death. Similarly, Hebrews 11:24-26 highlights Moses’ rejection of Egypt’s fleeting pleasures, choosing instead the reproach of Christ. He valued spiritual rewards over temporary indulgence, sowing to the Spirit rather than the flesh.

Daniel provides another example in Daniel 1:8-16. By refusing the king’s rich food and wine, Daniel and his friends disciplined their flesh, honoring God. Their faithfulness led to divine favor and wisdom, contrasting with the corruption that comes from yielding to worldly appetites.

Paul also admonishes believers to bring their flesh under subjection. In 1 Corinthians 9:27, he writes, “But [like a boxer] I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave…” (AMP). Fasting is a vital discipline that helps subdue fleshly desires, aligning our hearts with God’s will.

Ultimately, sowing to the flesh leads to corruption, but sowing to the Spirit brings life. As believers, we are called to live disciplined lives, prioritizing eternal rewards over fleeting pleasures.

In our daily prayers we should seek that God gives us more  preachers that will lay more emphasis on spiritual growth than carnal pleasures.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.

DELAYED JUSTICE AND THE RISE OF CRIMINALITY

What was meant for your destruction shall become an instrument for your promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: DELAYED JUSTICE AND THE RISE OF CRIMINALITY

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

The church of the 80's pursued after righteousness and the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Holiness was at the core of its existence until man -made church growth formula was introduced from America. This meant the church was to stop the  chastisement of criminal elements in our churches in order to record large membership and more money for the pastors . This was what gave birth to the transactional gospel being preached by many preachers in Africa especially Nigeria today . That preaching says God is okay with our sins as long as we keep giving money ( sowing seeds) to our preachers . This is an abomination against Jesus Christ and he will punish those who promote such evil in society

The bible says in  Job 15:34

"For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery."

The transactional gospel is the root of the failure of the judiciary system in Nigeria. Very influential preachers control the judiciary and frustrate the fight against corruption in the society through their so -called sons and daughters in the judiciary.

When justice is delayed, wrongdoing multiplies. Ecclesiastes 8:11 observes, "Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the hearts of the sons of men are fully set to do evil." This profound truth highlights how procrastination in addressing wrongdoing emboldens others to commit similar acts, creating a culture of lawlessness.

The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 5:11-12 provides a similar admonition to the church regarding discipline within the community of believers. He warns, "You are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?" This passage underscores the responsibility of leaders and individuals to address sin promptly and firmly, especially within the Christian community.

Neglecting swift action against wrongdoing erodes the moral fabric of society. As the Bible teaches, unchecked sin spreads like leaven (1 Corinthians 5:6). Therefore, timely justice not only deters crime but also preserves righteousness. Let us strive for prompt accountability, ensuring that evil does not thrive unchecked.

In our daily prayers we should seek deliverance from false preachers and an end to the transactional gospel in our country.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

GOD DOES NOT BLESS CORRUPTION

You shall not be disgraced because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

GOD DOES NOT BLESS CORRUPTION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

  Romans 8:21

"Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.'

It is the responsibility of the church of Jesus Christ to put an end to corruption wherever it is found. Corruption is Satan's way of doing things resulting in killings , stealings and destruction. Righteousness is God's way of doing things resulting in prosperity , peace and security.

The thought that a public officer can steal public funds and make a donation to a church makes him blessed before God  is an abomination. He or she is more blessed when the resources are used judiciously to provide for the people .

God’s holiness demands purity, and He does not tolerate corruption. This truth is illustrated in Leviticus 10:1-2, where Nadab and Abihu, sons of Aaron, offered "strange fire" before the Lord, an act He had not commanded. The Hebrew word for “strange” (×–ָר, zar) conveys the idea of something unauthorized, foreign, or profane. They gave offerings from the proceeds of adultery. Their corruption in worship brought swift judgment as fire consumed them, underscoring God’s intolerance for disobedience and impurity in His presence.

Similarly, in Genesis 4:5, God rejected Cain’s offering, not because of the physical gift but because of Cain’s heart and actions. Cain’s lack of faith and his corrupt motives led to his downfall. This reminds us that God evaluates not just what we offer but the integrity behind it.

God declares in Isaiah 61:8, “For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing.” His love for justice reflects His character, rejecting any form of corruption, whether in worship, offerings, or daily life.

Additional scriptures  reinforce this truth: Proverbs 15:8 says, “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,” and 1 Samuel 15:22 emphasizes that obedience is better than sacrifice. God blesses righteousness and integrity, not compromise or corruption.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal to live in righteousness through the Holy Spirit .

PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach Righteousness.

THE DANGER OF GIVING OFFERINGS OUT OF THE PROCEEDS OF CORRUPTION

Doors are being opened for you in high places for extraordinary breakthroughs because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

THE DANGER OF GIVING OFFERINGS OUT OF THE PROCEEDS OF CORRUPTION

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Giving offerings tainted by corruption is a grievous sin that offends God's holiness. Scripture vividly warns against this practice, as seen in the stories of Ananias and Sapphira, Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, and King Saul.

In Acts 5:1-11, Ananias and Sapphira brought part of their property sale proceeds as an offering, lying about the amount to appear generous. Their deceit was exposed, and both died instantly. This shows that God values integrity over the appearance of sacrifice.

Similarly, in Numbers 16, Korah, Dathan, and Abiram led a rebellion against God’s appointed leadership. Despite their offerings and claims of holiness, their corruption led to their destruction as the earth swallowed them alive. Their story reminds us that rebellion and self-serving motives are unacceptable before God.

King Saul’s disobedience in 1 Samuel 15 further illustrates this truth. He spared King Agag and kept the best livestock under the guise of making offerings to God. However, Samuel rebuked him, saying, “To obey is better than sacrifice” (1 Sam. 15:22). Saul's kingdom was stripped away because of his defiance.

God declares in Isaiah 61:8, “I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing.” Offering proceeds from corruption mocks God’s justice. True worship requires integrity and obedience, not ill-gotten gains.

A person's offering is an expression of their life therefore , receiving offering from the proceeds of corruption is an endorsement of corruption. Preachers who deliberately encourage this will not go unpunished like God did to Eli and his son Hophni and Phinehas 1 Samuel 2:22-34 .

In Micah 3 God condemn preachers who patronise corrupt persons for the love of money

This is one of the major reasons behind the increase in corruption in Nigeria. Christians are expected to report erring preachers to Jesus Christ demanding quick judgment to save Nigeria from collapse . He will not spare them like Peter did against Ananias and Sapphira .

You cannot steal public funds meant for payment of salaries and infrastructural  development and give a portion to your priest and expect God to bless you , such acts results in calamity on the preacher and the guilty. The bible says Proverbs 15:8

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

THE SIN OF EXTORTION BY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND ITS CONSEQUENCES

Your situation is not hopeless, light arises in your dark hour because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

THE SIN OF EXTORTION BY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND ITS CONSEQUENCES

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Ecclesiastes 5:1

"Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.'

A businessman who is into sale of beef lamented that the increase in the price of beef in the market was as a result of the amount spent on the highways while bringing them to the market . This runs into millions of naira . He claimed there were numerous checkpoints by government security agencies each demanding money before they could be allowed to travel . Same applies in many areas of Nigeria were services are needed by citizens. The area where our church is located has been without electricity for eight months because of this evil by persons in authority . This has resulted in business failure and losses by residents.

Extortion by security agencies is a grave sin that goes against God’s principles of justice and righteousness. Luke 3:13-14 provides a clear warning against such acts. When soldiers and tax collectors asked John the Baptist for guidance, he instructed them, “Don’t collect more than what you are ordered to, and don’t extort money or accuse people falsely.” This underscores God’s command for fairness and integrity, especially for those in positions of authority.

Extortion is not only unjust but also defiles the sanctity of offerings given in church. Isaiah 61:8 states, “For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing.” Using ill-gotten wealth to give offerings is hypocritical and dishonors God. Proverbs 21:3 further emphasizes, “To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.” God desires clean hands and pure hearts, not offerings tainted with injustice.

The consequences of extortion are dire. As corrupt practices flourish, trust in security agencies erodes, leading to increased lawlessness and insecurity. Proverbs 29:4 warns, “By justice, a king gives a country stability, but those who accept bribes tear it down.” For societal stability, leaders and citizens alike must reject extortion and uphold God’s call to righteousness.

In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and for righteous governance in our country.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach the gospel.

THRIVING IN A CORRUPT SYSTEM WITHOUT COMPROMISING YOUR FAITH

The more the opposition against you the greater shall be your promotion because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional: THRIVING IN A CORRUPT SYSTEM WITHOUT COMPROMISING YOUR FAITH

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Psalms 125:3 "For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity."

The above scripture shows the relationship between poverty and bad governance and immorality in society. Poverty is Satan's tool to lure God's people into immorality and cults . Bad governance creates a corrupt environment that results in poverty.

Living righteously in a corrupt system can be challenging, but biblical examples like Isaac in Gerar (Genesis 26) and Daniel in Babylon reveal principles for thriving without compromising faith. Here are some ways to do so:

1. DEPEND ON GOD’S PROVISION

Isaac obeyed God’s command to stay in Gerar despite famine and government opposition and inhumane policies. God blessed him with prosperity: “The Lord blessed him, and the man became rich” (Genesis 26:12-14, AMP). Trust God’s provision even in unfavorable conditions.

2. MAINTAIN INTEGRITY

Daniel refused to defile himself with Babylonian food, choosing a diet honoring God (Daniel 1:8). Uphold godly standards regardless of societal pressures. You must divine your limits for all to see.

3. WORK DILIGENTLY

Isaac re-dug wells his enemies had filled, demonstrating persistence and industry (Genesis 26:18-22). Excellence attracts God’s favor and human respect. Device easier ways on how to get difficult things done .

4. SEEK GOD’S WISDOM

Daniel relied on prayer for divine insight when interpreting Nebuchadnezzar’s dreams (Daniel 2:20-23). Seek God’s guidance for complex situations.

5. FOSTER PEACEFUL RELATIONSHIPS

Isaac avoided conflict with locals, choosing peace over retaliation (Genesis 26:22). “Blessed are the peacemakers” (Matthew 5:9). Be more diplomatic and less confrontational.

6. BOLDLY PROCLAIM FAITH

Daniel continued praying openly despite the decree against it (Daniel 6:10). Stand firm in your faith, trusting God’s protection.

By relying on God, working with integrity, and choosing peace, you can thrive in a corrupt system while glorifying God.

In our daily prayers we should seek for a healthy appetite for God's word and a strong will to live in righteousness.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.

THE NECESSITY OF RESILIENCE IN LIVING IN A CORRUPT SYSTEM

Receive inner strength by the anointing of God's favour upon you for advancement in the face of adversity .

Good -Life Devotional: THE NECESSITY OF RESILIENCE IN LIVING IN A CORRUPT SYSTEM

Psalms 37:37-38

" Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off."

Resilience is the ability to withstand, adapt, and thrive in the face of adversity, and it is essential for living righteously in a corrupt system. The Bible provides compelling examples of resilience through the lives of Daniel and Isaac. Both men faced significant challenges rooted in unjust and corrupt circumstances, yet their unwavering faith and determination allowed them to overcome these obstacles.

In Daniel 6:12-24, Daniel’s resilience shines in his response to the decree issued by King Darius. This law, manipulated into existence by envious officials, forbade prayer to anyone except the king for thirty days. Despite the decree, Daniel continued his practice of praying to God three times a day, fully aware of the consequences. When he was thrown into the lions' den, his faith and trust in God’s justice delivered him. The corrupt system that sought to destroy him was ultimately overturned as the very officials who accused him faced the fate they had plotted for him. Daniel’s resilience exemplifies the importance of remaining steadfast in righteousness, trusting that God will vindicate the faithful in His time.

Similarly, Genesis 26:1-23 recounts Isaac’s resilience during a time of famine and conflict. God instructed Isaac to stay in Gerar, where he faced opposition from the Philistines. They repeatedly filled his wells with dirt, cutting off his water supply. Each time, Isaac responded with patience and persistence, digging new wells instead of retaliating. His resilience allowed him to thrive in a hostile environment. God’s promise of blessing and provision sustained him, and Isaac’s refusal to succumb to bitterness or aggression ultimately led to peace and prosperity.

Both accounts highlight that resilience in a corrupt system requires unwavering faith in God, a commitment to righteousness, and the ability to persevere despite opposition. Daniel and Isaac trusted God’s sovereignty and refused to compromise their integrity, demonstrating that resilience is essential not only for survival but also for bringing about God’s purposes in a broken world.

In our daily prayers we should seek for inner strength to overcome trials and temptation and for a healthy appetite for God's word.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome the enemy.

HOW CORRUPTION RESULTS IN DISHONOR AND LOSS OF RESPECT

The broken pieces of your life shall be turned into a masterpiece because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional:

HOW CORRUPTION RESULTS IN DISHONOR AND LOSS OF RESPECT

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Isaiah 1:23

"Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them."

One of the reasons many once revered preachers in Nigeria have lost respect in the eyes of the public is their display of corrupt practices , many have been linked to extortion by false presence , oil bunkering, smuggling of mineral resources, money laundering, sex scandals and  open support for corrupt leaders.

Corruption, a deliberate act of dishonesty for personal gain, ultimately leads to dishonor and a loss of respect. The Bible repeatedly warns against corrupt practices, emphasizing their destructive consequences. Proverbs 10:9 states, “He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who takes a crooked way will be discovered” (AMP). While corruption may bring temporary benefits, it exposes individuals to disgrace when the truth comes to light.

Corruption erodes trust, the foundation of respect. Proverbs 22:1 reminds us, “A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold” (AMP). When someone engages in corruption, their reputation suffers, making it difficult to regain respect. Friends, family, and colleagues may distance themselves, viewing the individual as unreliable and self-serving.

Moreover, God condemns corruption as sin, promising judgment. Micah 7:3 highlights the greed behind corrupt practices: “Concerning evil, both hands do it well… They all scheme together.” This behavior separates people from God and others, leading to spiritual and social alienation.

True honor and respect come from integrity and righteousness. By rejecting corruption and adhering to God’s principles, individuals can build lasting relationships and gain favor with both God and man (Proverbs 3:3-4).

In our daily prayers we should seek for a healthy appetite for God's word and for righteous leadership to bring about a righteous culture.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for the promotion of a righteous culture.

HOW CORRUPTION DESTROYS A PERSON’S INTELLIGENCE

You shall shall continue to make significant progress regardless of the situation because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional;

HOW CORRUPTION DESTROYS A PERSON’S INTELLIGENCE

Intelligence is defined as the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills.

The purpose of acquiring a university degree or any other education certificate is ultimately for job creation . This requires human and financial capital building.  Corruption strips a person off these capabilities. This is the reason behind the rise in unemployment level.  Corruption is Satan's strategy to lure people into sin. Corruption creates artificial poverty which results in despiration and people easily falling in to temptation. The born again Christian is madate to fight and stop corruption wherever it is found .

Corruption, at its core, is a compromise of integrity for personal gain. It clouds judgment, dulls moral sensitivity, and leads to self-deception. The Bible consistently warns that one cannot walk in wisdom while embracing corruption. Proverbs 10:9 states, “He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.” Corruption distorts reality, leading a person to make decisions based on selfish motives rather than truth.

A corrupt heart blinds a person to wisdom. Psalm 14:1 declares, “The [spiritually ignorant] fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have committed repulsive and unspeakable deeds.” Corruption aligns with foolishness because it rejects God’s principles, which are the foundation of true wisdom (Proverbs 9:10).

Furthermore, corruption invites destruction. Galatians 6:7-8 warns, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” The pursuit of dishonest gain consumes mental energy, fostering paranoia and fear of exposure, which hinder clarity and growth.

Ultimately, a person cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24). Wisdom requires a pure heart and sound mind, while corruption degrades both. Choosing integrity over corruption paves the way for true wisdom and divine blessing.

In our daily prayers we should seek for wisdom to live in a corrupt environment and resistance to temptation.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.
