HOW CORRUPTION DESTROYS A PERSON’S INTELLIGENCE

 You shall shall continue to make significant progress regardless of the situation because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.

Good -Life Devotional;

HOW CORRUPTION DESTROYS A PERSON’S INTELLIGENCE

Intelligence is defined as the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills.

  The purpose of acquiring a university degree or any other education certificate is ultimately for job creation . This requires human and financial capital building.  Corruption strips a person off these capabilities. This is the reason behind the rise in unemployment level.  Corruption is Satan's strategy to lure people into sin. Corruption creates artificial poverty which results in despiration and people easily falling in to temptation. The born again Christian is madate to fight and stop corruption wherever it is found .

   Corruption, at its core, is a compromise of integrity for personal gain. It clouds judgment, dulls moral sensitivity, and leads to self-deception. The Bible consistently warns that one cannot walk in wisdom while embracing corruption. Proverbs 10:9 states, “He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.” Corruption distorts reality, leading a person to make decisions based on selfish motives rather than truth.

A corrupt heart blinds a person to wisdom. Psalm 14:1 declares, “The [spiritually ignorant] fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have committed repulsive and unspeakable deeds.” Corruption aligns with foolishness because it rejects God’s principles, which are the foundation of true wisdom (Proverbs 9:10).

Furthermore, corruption invites destruction. Galatians 6:7-8 warns, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” The pursuit of dishonest gain consumes mental energy, fostering paranoia and fear of exposure, which hinder clarity and growth.

Ultimately, a person cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24). Wisdom requires a pure heart and sound mind, while corruption degrades both. Choosing integrity over corruption paves the way for true wisdom and divine blessing.

 In our daily prayers we should seek for wisdom to live in a corrupt environment and resistance to temptation.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.
