You shall not be stagnant in life because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:
SEVEN INDICATORS SHOWING YOU LOVE MONEY MORE THAN GOD
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
1 Timothy 6:10
" For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
The love of money opens the doors for satanic attacks against our families and the church . It affects how you relate to God and his church .
Loving money more than God can manifest subtly or overtly. Here are seven signs that may indicate a misaligned focus on wealth over your devotion to God:
1. CONSTANT WORRY ABOUT MONEY
Obsessing over financial security or anxiety about future provisions, despite God's promises to provide (Matthew 6:25-34).
2. PURSUING WEALTH AT THE EXPENSE OF GODLY VALUES
Compromising integrity, neglecting spiritual growth, or justifying unethical behavior to achieve financial gain (Proverbs 28:20; 1 Timothy 6:10).
3. NEGLECTING GENEROSITY AND STEWARDSHIP
Reluctance to give the new testament Abrahamic tithe (1Corinthians 16:1-2) help the needy, or give sacrificially as God commands (Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:7).
4. MEASURING SUCCESS BY MATERIAL POSSESSIONS
Defining your worth, identity, or purpose through wealth rather than your relationship with God (Luke 12:15; Matthew 6:19-21).
5. PRIORITIZING WORK OVER WORSHIP
Prioritizing making money over spending time in prayer, worship, or fellowship with other believers (Exodus 20:8-10; Matthew 6:33).
6. ENVYING OTHERS' WEALTH
Feeling discontent or jealous of others' financial blessings instead of being grateful for your own (Exodus 20:17; Philippians 4:11-12).
7. OVERWHELMING FEAR OF LOSING MONEY
Placing your trust in riches for security, rather than trusting God's provision and sovereignty (Proverbs 11:28; Hebrews 13:5-6).
The bible says in
Matthew 6:24 (AMP):
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand devotedly by the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord]."
Aligning your heart with God’s kingdom ensures money is used as a tool for His glory, not as a master over your life.
In our daily prayers we should seek for a healthy appetite for God's word and separation from bad influence.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overcome temptation.
