You shall not be disgraced because of the anointing of God's favour upon you.
Good -Life Devotional:
GOD DOES NOT BLESS CORRUPTION
By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi
Romans 8:21
"Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.'
It is the responsibility of the church of Jesus Christ to put an end to corruption wherever it is found. Corruption is Satan's way of doing things resulting in killings , stealings and destruction. Righteousness is God's way of doing things resulting in prosperity , peace and security.
The thought that a public officer can steal public funds and make a donation to a church makes him blessed before God is an abomination. He or she is more blessed when the resources are used judiciously to provide for the people .
God’s holiness demands purity, and He does not tolerate corruption. This truth is illustrated in Leviticus 10:1-2, where Nadab and Abihu, sons of Aaron, offered "strange fire" before the Lord, an act He had not commanded. The Hebrew word for “strange” (זָר, zar) conveys the idea of something unauthorized, foreign, or profane. They gave offerings from the proceeds of adultery. Their corruption in worship brought swift judgment as fire consumed them, underscoring God’s intolerance for disobedience and impurity in His presence.
Similarly, in Genesis 4:5, God rejected Cain’s offering, not because of the physical gift but because of Cain’s heart and actions. Cain’s lack of faith and his corrupt motives led to his downfall. This reminds us that God evaluates not just what we offer but the integrity behind it.
God declares in Isaiah 61:8, “For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing.” His love for justice reflects His character, rejecting any form of corruption, whether in worship, offerings, or daily life.
Additional scriptures reinforce this truth: Proverbs 15:8 says, “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,” and 1 Samuel 15:22 emphasizes that obedience is better than sacrifice. God blesses righteousness and integrity, not compromise or corruption.
In our daily prayers we should seek a healthy appetite for God's word and zeal to live in righteousness through the Holy Spirit .
PRAYER : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to preach Righteousness.
